Gokcebel village is inland and about 1km to supermarkets and 3kms to the seaside resort of Yalıkavak.

Built and designed by a well known local architect, this cosy detached holiday cottage with private pool and private walled gardens is ideal for those wanting to experience true Turkish village life. Because of the location, you will not find hoards of tourists here - the call to mosque and children playing happily are about the only sounds you will hear.   Dont be surprised at the welcome you receive as honoured guests to the village!

Gokcebel village is situated just off the road between the pretty fishing towns of Yalikavak and Gundogan.  If you want an 'away from it all' holiday in quiet and peaceful surroundings, but near to amenities restaurants and beaches, Gokcebel is the place.

The cottage has been furnished internally to the highest standards with modern appliances, but care has been taken to ensure its in keeping with its village surroundings.  Outside, pretty, rustic furniture adorns the pool terrace and garden patio area.

ACCOMMODATION
Fully furnished and on two levels.
The cottage does have a front door entrance which leads into the lounge, however, the French doors from the pool terrace is used as the main entrance.  From here:-

Kitchen/Diner
Inside, you will find a well equipped modern kitchen with a smart ceramic sink and drainer, large fridge freezer, oven, hob, extractor fan, kettle, toaster etc with the cupboads and base units housing all the crockery, cutlery and utensils you need for a self-catering holiday.  A small dining area can also be found here with seating to accommodate four people.

Lounge/Sitting Room
In the lounge/salon area there are comfy sofas  and chairs to relax into and typical Turkish ornaments or objects of interest tastefully displayed. A CD player is available with a small selection of CDs so bring some of your own!  The thick walls are light in colour and the room is cool and airy even in the hot summer months.  There is even a fireplace for those cooler winter nights!

Bedrooms (2)
Master Bedroom (ground floor)
The master bedroom can be found off the lounge.  It has a double bed, bedside cabinets and drawer and hanging space.  Shutters are fitted to all windows in the cottage.

Bedroom 2 (upstairs)
The narrow wooden staircase leads you to the second bedroom in the eaves of the cottage.  Twin beds are side by side occupying the whole of the upper level of the cottage.

Bathroom
Fabulous, large travertine tiled bathroom.  WC, wash basin sunken into travertine unit with wooden drawers and cupboards and large walk in shower. Pure luxury and no expense has been spared on the fittings. A washing machine is housed in one of the cupboards.

Outside
As you would expect, pretty shrubs have been planted in the gardens surrounding the cottage, which produce a riot of scents and colour throughout the seasons.  The cottage stands in gated, walled gardens, keeping it private. 

The unexpected bonus is the private pool to the side of the patio area, ideal for cooling off after a hard day exploring the countryside around the area!  Garden furniture, sunshade etc are all provided at the cottage for your use.

Banks/supermarkets/petrol stations etc
Yalikavak (the nearest town/village) is a 5 minute drive from Gokcebel.  Here you will find several banks, Garanti & Finansbank are two good ones, these have ATMs.  Large supermarkets, Carrefour, Migros and Tansas can also be found between Gokcebel and Yalikavak, whereas on the outskirts of Bodrum (Ortakent area) there is a very large Kipa (Tesco) and next door, Metro (Makro) cash and carry - visitors can apply for a day pass for the latter.
Local shops (mini markets or Bakals as they are known as in Turkey) can be found almost everywhere and are open late at nights.
Petrol stations - again in Yalikavak near the large supermarkets above or on the main road out of Yalikavak to Bodrum.

GOKCEBEL (pronounced gokchebel)
Many people think Gokcebel is a small traditional inland village on the Bodrum Peninsula.  It is.  However, locals know that it is a 'village' with two parts: Gokcebel old village and sea-side Gokcebel.  The cottage, as you would expect, is in the old village.
