Luxury, luxury, luxury. This spacious ground floor holiday apartment really does have the luxury touch and sets it apart from many others. The English owner has spared no expense on the interior design and furnishings and has created a perfect holiday home for couples or small families.
If you are looking for something as luxurious, but a little larger, the owner also has a villa with a private pool very nearby - look at PV439. Both properties together can sleep up to 11 people so would suit families traveling together but wanting personal space. Built on a small, select development of villas and apartments on the outskirts of popular Yalikavak, Bodrum Peninsula, the apartment has fixtures and fittings of the greatest quality, travertine floors, travertine tiled bathrooms, solid wood furniture etc etc. With its large garden, panoramic views and stunning infinity pool (shared), it has everything to offer from a self-catering holiday home. The lounge area has plush leather seating, solid wood sideboard and display cabinets, TV/DVD player, CD player and stylish objects/ornaments to compliment the carefully selected soft furnishings. From here, sliding doors open onto the covered terrace and larger than average garden (belonging only to this apartment). The views from here are spectacular over the Aegean to Yalikavak Marina and Yalikavak itself beyond. An Air Conditioning unit is fitted in this area to cool you during the hot summer months. The kitchen/diner area is fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dining table and chairs to seat 4, plus all crockery, cutlery, glasses etc necessary for a self-catering holiday. BEDROOMS - 2 Bedroom 1 (Master) with luxury en-suite bath room - double bed, wardrobes, bedside cabinets (all solid wood), lamps. Again, doors open onto a terrace, the gardens and the amazing view. A/C unit. Bedroom 2 - twin beds, bedside cabinets, lamps and wardrobe. Sliding doors opening onto the terrace, gardens and spectacular sea view. A/C unit. BATHROOMS - 2 En-suite to bedroom 1. Bath with overhead shower and glass shower screen, wash basin set on travertine base, WC. Main shower room - with spacious shower cubicle , wash basin, WC. Fully tiled in luxury travertine. Other - table and chairs, loungers, BBQ on the patio for al fresco dining Cleaning & laundry - fresh bed linen and towels are provided. The apartment also has a washing machine for your use. Beach towels are not provided. OUTSIDE The apartment has an exceptionally large private, sea facing garden. There are both covered and sunny areas for those who like the sun or shade. A short walk away is the stunning communal infinity pool, with fabulous views over the Aegean towards Yalikavak bay. The large sun terrace of the pool has sun loungers and umbrellas as well as built in BBQs for communal entertaining if you wish to enjoy the company of other apartment/villa owners/guests who may be staying at the development. If its privacy you want, then your own garden, terrace and BBQ is an ideal venue to watch the fabulous sun as it dips down into the Aegean. Amenities/facilities provided Oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, washing machine, iron, ironing board, TV and DVD player, CD system, air conditioning. Shop/Bakal - there is a small mini-market, shop (Bakal in Turkish) a short distance away to the lower level entrance of the develolment the villa is built on. Each Thursday, Yalikavak hosts a large vendor's market with a range of fruit, vegetables, olives, cheeses, herbs and spices for sale on one side of the road and clothing, souvenirs etc on the other. Worth a visit as its a very colourful sight. As stated, the apartment has stunning sea views which usually means its been built up a hillside. However, there are not many steps to and from the pool area, but it may not be suitable for the disabled or very small children. This apartment is property managed by Peninsula Villa Care. Banks/supermarkets/petrol stations etc Yalikavak (the nearest town/village) is a 5 minute drive away. Here you will find several banks, Garanti & Finansbank are two good ones, these have ATMs. Large supermarkets, Carrefour, Migros and Tansas can also be found on the outskirts of Yalikavak, whereas just outside Bodrum (Ortakent area) there is a very large Kipa (Tesco) and next door, Metro (Makro) cash and carry - visitors can apply for a day pass for the latter. Local shops (mini markets or Bakals as they are known in Turkey) can be found almost everywhere and are open late at nights. Petrol stations - again in Yalikavak near the large supermarkets above or on the main road out of Yalikavak to Bodrum. Public Transport - dolmus or mini bus. During the high season months, the dolmus will pass by on the main road regularly. Hop on and it will take you a 5 minute ride to the centre of Yalikavak one way, or the famous quaint fishing village of Gumusluk, in the other direction. From Yalikavak, you can change dolmus and take another into Bodrum (about 35mins away). Beaches - there is a small beach below the development but Yalikavak's beach is about 10 mins by car, Xuma Beach club (about 15 mins the other side of Yalikavak) is worth spending a day at. Gundogan, 20 mins away, has a large sandy beach and bathing platforms. The development was completed in late 2007 and is therefore new for the 2008 season. Because of this, gardens have not yet matured and the access road to the development is currently not perfectly finished off. *All prices include KDV/VAT unless otherwise stated. |
