Pretty holiday villa close to the sea and beach at Kucukbuk Bay,
Gundogan, Bodrum Peninsula. The villa is on a small development of 12 in total identical villas sharing a large communal pool with child's pool. With
its private garden and dining terrace, the villa and is location is
perfect for holidaying in the friendly Turkish area of Gundogan.
Kucukbuk bay in the summer is a favourite of visiting Turks from the larger cities of Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir etc. Many of them have homes here as the area is well known for its crystal clear waters. Locals daily set sail in their little boats to fish, later to be sold to the owners of restaurants in Kucukbuk Bay! Click here for Gundogan information ACCOMMODATION This villa has been beautifully furnished and is very well presented. Ground Floor From the entrance door (at the side of the villa), there is a cloakroom with WC and wash basin on your right, storage cupboards, to your left. Walk to your right towards the inside living accommodation. A small, but compact galley style kitchen can be found which serves the lounge through a serving hatch. The kitchen contains an oven with hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and full set of crockery, cutlery and essential utensils. From the kitchen walk into the lounge which comfortably seats 6 on its sofas. There is a TV which has freeview channels (some English speaking), it is Turkish freeview system. The lounge has large, corner sliding doors opening up onto the stylish patio and private gardens, giving fabulous views of the bay of Kucukbuk. The patio forms an L shape around the side and front of the villa and the communal pool is just steps away. Outside the lounge doors is a table and chairs for al-fresco dining, with BBQ. The patio at the front overlooking the pool is covered, so gives shade during the hot summer months. The house has air conditioning in all major rooms. The ground floor features a twin bedroom, washing machine and more than average cupboard/storage space. First Floor A round stairwell leads up to the first floor where the master bedroom offers magnificent sea views (through the same corner style patio doors as the lounge ) which open up onto a sea facing balcony The en-suite bathroom of this bedroom has a shower cubicle, hand basin and WC. The hallway leads to the spacious family bathroom offering a full size bath, shower, large mirrored basin with drawers, and WC. A third bedroom features twin beds with access to the first floor balcony. Roof Terrace One of the best features of these villas are the fabulous roof terraces. Follow the stairs up to the roof terrace where panoramic views of the whole of Kucukbuk bay, hillside, beach and Aegean sea greet you. This is where most of the evenings will be spent. With its sink and bar area, the terrace is absolutely fabulous and perfect for al fresco dining, or just sit with a cool Efes watching the twinkling lights of the bay come alive at nights. A table and chairs, and loungers are at this level for those wanting to soak up the sun in private! Outside The villa is in a quiet position just a short walk away from the shared pool to which it has easy access. The pool is large (18 metres long) and shallow in all areas (c. 1.6 metres). There is an adjoining paddling area for young children. The villa is on a site of 12 villas and has its own parking space near the entrance. A site manager lives within the grounds and is available to help with any queries. A three minute walk takes you to the beach where a choice of good restaurants give you use of sun loungers by day and sets up tables for dining on the beach and jetties in the evening. The beach is sandy and the sea is clear. Perfect for swimming. A car is not required for those who want to chill out by the pool or beach, but for those who wish to explore the area a little more, a car is necessary. The larger village of Gundogan is 5 minutes drive in one direction, and trendy Turkbuku, 10 minutes in another. Sophisticated Yalikavak, with its new multi-million dollar marina, pedestrianised shopping, bar and restaurant area is a 15 minute drive away. On Thursdays, there is a large Pazar (market) held in Yalikavak, where tourists and locals mingle to buy their provisions and textiles – not to be missed. Bodrum town centre, is 30 minutes drive away from Kucukbuk, with its swish shops, restaurants, bars, marina, castle and of course nightlife! *All prices include KDV/VAT unless otherwise stated. |
